The Department of Corrections operates the Olympic Corrections Center, which is also known as OCC. The center features a laundry, warehouse and living units. The Olympic Corrections Center also includes a maintenance shop, wastewater treatment plant, water supply system and kitchen facilities. The center manages a staff of more than 105 employees. It is accredited by the American Correctional Association. The Olympic Corrections Center administers janitorial, camp maintenance and recreational work programs. The center participates in various community events and programs. It conducts classes that focus on topics related to relapse prevention and anger and stress management for offenders through Peninsula College. The Department of Corrections is a part of the government of the state of Washington.
