Founded in 1907 and located in Seattle, Moore Theater serves as a venue for various local community events, including art exhibitions, film screenings, lectures and beauty pageants. It also provides accommodations for local dance and musical groups and musicians. With a seating capacity for more than 1400 people, the theater includes a lobby with a mosaic floor, as well as marble, onyx, carved wood, stained glass and metal d cor. Moore Theater is operated by Seattle Theatre Group, which is a nonprofit performing arts organization that offers a variety of educational and community-based programs. The organization conducts workshops in the areas of performing arts, dance, music and dramatics for students.
