History
Scott started his law career in 1992 when he became an associate attorney with the Bessert Law Firm, P.C. He was admitted to the Washington State Bar in 1991 and the Oregon State Bar in 1995. In 1996, he continued his law practice at Blair, Schaefer, Hutchison & Wolfe, L.L.P., becoming a partner in 1998 and then serving four years as Managing Partner from 2000 through 2003. In 2005 Scott initiated his solo practice and continues to maintain the principal emphasis of his legal work in the areas of individual and business tax planning. He has particular interests in estate planning (creating wills, revocable and irrevocable trusts, and other important legal documents necessary in properly planning an individual's estate) and assisting clients in matters related to post-mortem probate estate and trust administration. Scott also focuses his practice in the area of business formation and transactions.
