Vanderbilt Properties Insurance Brokerage / Risk Management is a Program Manager and Program Developer of Risk Purchasing Groups ( RPG ) & Workers Compensation Safety Groups. As one of the premier specialists of insurance program administration for the real estate industry, we are determined to expand our business and strengthen our role by offering competitive programs for residential and commercial buildings throughout the country. Vanderbilt Properties was formed in 1998 in order to provide property and casualty insurance products to owners, managers and developers of commercial and residential exposures located throughout New York City. In the year 2000, we created a wholesale division, which made our product available to the retail brokerage community on a very selective basis. Shortly thereafter, we expanded our program nationwide. Our General Liability and Umbrella Liability products are both written under the Federal Risk Retention Act of 1986, which permits unrelated groups with similar or related liability risks to purchase insurance on a "group" basis. Our R.P.G. is not an insurance company and members do not share any liability, limits or coverages. By selecting exceptional clients, our RPG is able to utilize group purchasing power to secure lower costs with financially stable insurance companies who have a commitment to the real estate industry. Underlying carriers must meet the minimum A.M. Best rating of A- VI. Presently, each of our insurance carriers are rated A or better by A.M. Best. Recently, we have added a Personal Lines Division to Vanderbilt Program. If you have a house, townhouse, brownstone ( 1 or 2 unit ) or condo unit, we can help you secure coverage in or out of New York City on a replacement cost basis. We have and continue to improve our product line in order to satisfy our client's needs and expectations. Please contact us today to find out how Vanderbilt can assist you and your needs for the future.
