Salvatore's Coal Oven Pizza has been open since 1996 in Port Washington. The pizzas are cooked in a "coal stoked" brick oven. The history of Salvatore's pizza dates back to 1929 when "great Uncle Pat and Aunt Carmella Lancieri opened Patsy's on First Avenue in Harlem." That same family recipe is used today to make Salvatore's pizzas.
In addition to pizza, Salvatore's has antipasto, soups, salads, pastas and calzones. Salvatore's does not take credit cards and does not sell pizza by the slice.
