Gander & White Shipping Ltd was founded in 1933 by Frank White. Over the last 75 years the company has worked for art dealers, private collectors and museums. In its early years the company handled the 'Leverhume Collection', worked for 'King Feisal of Iraq' and dealt with the C.I.N.O.A Exhibition held at the Victoria & Albert Museum. Further to this Gander & White were given the responsibility of handling the 'Ashes' and managed the entire logistical operation of the 'Kremlin Silver' when it was brought from Moscow to London for an Exhibition at Sotheby's. In more recent years Gander & White worked for the 'Royal Collection' and was involved in numerous high profile exhibitions, such as the 'John Brett: A Pre-Raphaelite in Cornwall', Penlee House, Gallery and Museum, Penzance; 'Twilight: Photography in the Magic Hour' and 'Uncomfortable Truths: The Shadow of Slave Trading on Art & Design', Victoria & Albert Museum, London; 'William Powell Frith: Painting the Victorian Age', Guildhall Art Gallery, London; 'London, Sugar and Slavery' Permanent Gallery at the Museum in Docklands, London; 'Making History: Antiquaries in Britain, 1707-2007', Royal Academy, London.
