IDavid Dayya, DO, PhD, MPH is specialized in the fields of Primary Care Medicine, Public Health, and Undersea & Hyperbaric Medicine.Dr Dayya's interest in Undersea & Hyperbaric Medicine was fostered through his background as a certified scuba diving instructor with the Professional Association of Diving Instructors (PADI) and National Association of Diving instructors (NAUI). He is a Diving Medical Officer (DMO) and serves as a Diving Medicine consultant. He received certification as a Diving Medical Advisory Committee (DMAC) Level 1 (Diving Medical Examiner) & 2 (Diving Medical Officer) through the Undersea & Hyperbaric Medical Society (UHMS). He is a physician consultant for the Divers Alert Network (DAN).His research areas of interest and publications are broad in scope and multidisciplinary/interdisciplinary spanning the fields of Undersea and Hyperbaric Medicine, Wound Care, Occupational & Environmental Toxicology, Neurodevelopmental conditions, Pulmonary & Respiratory Medicine, Infectious Disease, Perinatal Medicine, and Obesity. This has included a directing and central role in multiple clinical trials. He has served as a research consultant and research skills instructor for hospital institutions and Industry. His commitment to knowledge discovery is demonstrated through ongoing roles in cutting edge research.At the national level Dr Dayya is a member of the Undersea & Hyperbaric Medical Society's Education Committee and Diving Committee where he is involved in policy setting standards.Dr Dayya values a comprehensive approach toward the care of his patients in the practice of Medicine, Public Health, Undersea & Hyperbaric Medicine, and Wound Care. He is privileged to have served diverse, underserved communities, and varied populations throughout his career including service with the Department of Health and Human Services - National Health Service Corps, and through Indian Health Service.
