The International School offers private schooling for children in kindergarten through eighth grade. The school concentrates on teaching children a second and even third language, as part of a traditional college preparatory curriculum. The class sizes are smaller than the state average. English is spoken as the first language, but French, German and Spanish are taught and spoken frequently. Other languages taught are Italian, Korean and Chinese. The school also offers physical education, soccer, basketball, table tennis, drawing, ceramics, drama, a student council, yearbook and academic contests. There is also a summer camp and an English as a Second Language program.
