Established in 1986, The Maryland Stadium Authority undertakes projects to promote historic preservation, adaptive reuse, community redevelopment, cultural arts and civic pride. Based in Baltimore, Md., it creates public-private partnerships for financing and operating facilities and has completed projects in partnership with local governments, universities and the private sector throughout the state of Maryland. Its projects include convention centers, museums, theaters, parks and campus centers in addition to sports arenas. Baltimore Convention Center, Southern Maryland Baseball Stadium, Camden Station, Hippodrome Performing Arts Center, M&T Bank Stadium, Oriole Park at Camden Yards and Towson University Sports Complex area are few of its projects.
