N Hoaloha is a grass-roots organization in Wailuku, HI, dedicated to promoting social responsibility and advocacy by empowering volunteers to meet the needs of Maui County's kupuna (elderly). They provide essential services such as transportation, friendly visits, telephone reassurance, and respite care, helping seniors remain independent and increasing their chances of staying at home for as long as possible.
Through their Falls Prevention Volunteer Program, N Hoaloha deploys volunteers to communities to identify environmental factors that contribute to falls and educate the public about the impact falls can have on the quality of life for older adults. All of their services are provided entirely by volunteers, and they rely on the generosity of funders and volunteers to continue their mission.
