Ten Thousand Villages sells all kinds of gifts, decor and jewelry. Everything is hand-made by people in developing countries, and acquired through Fair Trade. It has items from art and sculpture to necklaces and tableware, from countries including Asia, Africa, Latin America and the Middle East. Sales go toward providing housing, health care, food and education to artisans who wouldn't otherwise have it. There are 10 locations, but this branch of the national chain is inside The Avenue Forsyth, in between J. Jill and Sweet & Sassy.
