The Carrollton Police Department provides law enforcement services, promotes public safety and protects the rights and property of residents in Carrollton, Ga. The uniform services division includes the patrol unit, traffic unit, bike unit, housing authority unit, school resource officers and the honor guard. The criminal investigative services division is comprised of the general investigations, domestic violence, identification and evidence and the drug suppression units. This division also works with the West Georgia Drug Task Force, a multi-jurisdictional unit commanded by the Georgia Bureau of Investigation. The support services division includes court clerks, the warrants division, the office of the chaplain, the crime stoppers and crime prevention programs, the office of professional standards and the training unit. The chief of police is the executive officer of the Carrollton Police Department and is responsible to the city manager for the proper administration of departmental affairs.
