The Tolland Town Manager is appointed by the town council and acts as the chief administrative officer of the municipality. The town manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the town government. The responsibilities of this position include overseeing the execution of all of the ordinances and policies adopted by the town council, development and execution of the annual operating and capital budgets and communications with the town council, the various boards and commissions and the town staff. The town of Tolland, Conn., first settled before 1715, covers an area of 41 square miles and is situated 20 miles northeast of Hartford, Conn.
