History
I've been counseling for 25 years. I taught undergraduate psychology at Azusa Pacific University for almost 10 years. And I taught in the Masters Counseling program at the University of La Verne for 7 years. I also had the opportunity to share with Cosmopolitan, L.A. Parent Magazine, and the Wall Street Journal.
Specialties
You may be feeling the effects of the stress of the past couple years on your marriage. Or perhaps you grew up in a difficult family and you want a good relationship, but don't quite know how to find that. I specialize in helping you find and have the kind of love you really want -- a solid, healthy relationship with someone who really loves you -- someone who has your back, who will be with you through good times and bad. A good relationship counselor helps you explore the deeper issues -- What is getting in your way? Are there any old wounds from your family-of-origin? How are you or your partner getting triggered by that old stuff? When you identify those deeper issues: 1) you heal so those wounds are not so easily triggered 2) you develop love and compassion for your own and your partner's tender spots. Then you can develop the kind of deep, loving, lasting relationship that we all really want and deserve.
