Steven M. Sherman of Sherman Business Law offers a broad range of legal services and advice to startups and established businesses in areas including entity selection and formation, financing and stakeholder relations. Mr. Sherman drafts and negotiates a variety of agreements businesses require in their day-to-day operations, including commercial leases, stock purchase agreements, technology assignment agreements, employment contracts, and distribution and joint-venture agreements. He also counsels clients in corporate governance and majority-minority stakeholder relations and provides expert representation in prosecuting or defending claims such as breach of contract, investor-related disputes, business torts, claims for unfair competition and other business disputes. Mr. Sherman has 28 years of legal experience. He is a 1985 graduate of the University of Massachusetts at Amherst and has a degree in finance with a minor in economics. Mr. Sherman received his law degree from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law, Yeshiva University, in 1988. In addition to several district courts and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit, Mr. Sherman has been admitted to the bars of the following states: New Jersey (1988); New York (1989); Florida (1989); and California (1993).
