History
Foothill Family was founded in Pasadena in 1926 by key community volunteers who passed a hat to raise funds in support of local families in need. During modest beginnings, focus was placed on necessities of living and casework services. Today, Foothill Family supports multiple stages of human development with an integrated approach to care in mental health, early childhood development, school-based behavioral health, and youth and family services. Dynamic and transformational programs often intersect and overlap to address challenges comprehensively while engaging family members as partners in care.
