The Beverly Hills Public Works and Transportation Department is comprised of multiple divisions that work together to maintain the city's streets, water mains, sewer mains and water treatment plant. Additional responsibilities of this department include providing the resources to implement City Council policy as directed by the City Manager and to oversee the city's parking operations and enforcement.
The Beverly Hills Public Works Commission is appointed by the City Council and usually schedules meetings for the second Thursday of every month. The public is welcome to participate in these forums. The commission advises the City Council on matters relating to water, streets, alleys, solid waste collections, wastewater and storm drains.
David Gustavson is the department's appointed interim director, and Chris Theisen serves as the assistant director.
